On 18th March 2020, England's Secretary of State for Education, Gavin Williamson, announced that all the June 2020 series exams were to be cancelled due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. This was soon followed by the other UK countries: Wales too cancelled exams on 18th March 2020 (same date as England), and Scotland and Northern Ireland followed on 19th March 2020.

All exam boards under Pearson contacted schools, colleges and exam centres, informing them to make centre assessments for every student. 

Students were not allowed to take the exam. However, students were given marks on;

• School work 

• Past assessments

• Past paper gradings from the old curriculum (check below for more info)

• Mock exams

• Internal school examinations

Marks were given from the mark scheme of the June 2019 grade boundaries of the old curriculum

As a result, the June 2020 series of exams were cancelled, and all papers that were created for the June series were labelled for October 2020, in this case paper log of June for International Lower Secondary Science P65753A  was relabelled to October 2020.

However, we are unable to provide the latest papers due to certain problems with the website's development, also taking into account that we are a small team working on this project as students. We will try our best to provide them as soon as possible.

In 2019, Pearson Edexcel made significant changes to the International Lower Secondary Curriculum, these changes proved significant to test a candidate's knowledge in certain fields. This created 2 different curricula, Discontinued (Years 2012 - 2018) and present (2019 - present)

These changes included;

• Adding a new October series to all exams under the International Lower Secondary examination series, done on students of Year 8 and Year 9

• Removing questions from topics that were concluded not to fit for examination

As a result, papers from the discontinued curriculum were removed from their site; thus, we are one of the few websites that still provide papers from both curricula.
